Sue's approach to psychotherapy:

Typically, people come to therapy when facing difficult or trying circumstances. I use a strength’s-based model of psychotherapy that helps people understand how they’ve come to take on certain beliefs and behaviors over their life course. The goal of this work is to be able to unburden those beliefs and behaviors that have led one to experience unhappiness, interpersonal difficulties, and at times, dissatisfaction and disappointment. When you work with me, you will be shown respect, empathy and compassion. I work collaboratively with clients in helping them to feel more empowered in their lives. I encourage clients to cultivate a genuine and authentic approach to life, regardless of earlier contradictory messages. I bring a holistic approach to psychological wellness, viewing people within the context of their whole lives. My philosophy is that all problems can improve when addressed within a compassionate, non-judgmental, therapeutic context.
